Investing near piedmont avenue in Oakland

Hi all,

I’m considering buying a 2-bedroom condo as an investment north of 580, near Oakland avenue.

Does anyone have any experience investing in that area?

I noticed the rents for 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom condos is almost the same in Oakland. Why is this? Are there more single people there?

Also how is the area from a safety point-of-view if I want to live there at some point?
