Lead paint/asbestos in old SFR's

Hey guys,

I've been looking at purchasing some SFRs in Indiana and the majority of the homes I'm looking at are built in the 1950s or 1960s. After doing some research it seems that many of these homes might have lead paint or asbestos in them. Is this something you guys are highly concerned about when evaluating a rental property purchase? The houses I'm looking at are 3 bed 1 bathroom typically.

Would love to hear your thoughts on whether I should continue looking into these types of properties or are they just a bad idea?

Thank you in advance!
