Transfer of property to LLC in Baltimore, MD

I have four (4) duplexes in Baltimore in my name and want to transfer ownership to an LLC I formed, so I have the following questions:

1) Do I have to use an attorney as opposed to a specialized entity (title company and such)?

2) Will I have to pay some sort of transfer taxes? I've done the same in Virginia and there were no transfer tax as it was considered a "gift" to the LLC.

Thank you,

Tarik Nabi
