Investor-Froendly HomeOwners Insuramce for First Time Home Buyer

Hello BiggerPockets Family,

I’m a first time home buyer currently under contract to purchase a condo in Atlanta as my primary residence. I’m new with my nose wide open in regards to having real estate as an asset and I have big goals of possibly being able to use this property as an investment via Air Bnb from time to time and converting it into a rental property a few years down the road.

I’m in the stage where I’m working to pick a Home Owner insurance provider, but have been reading about certain coverage and providers not insuring short term rental AirBnB opportunities. Most of those post have been about insurance for rental properties that cover AirBnb opportunities.

Ultimately my goal is to A) Choose the right insurance provider for my first home, and B) Think like a savvy investor on the front end and go with a provider that will allow me to insure my primary residence with the ability to AirBnb the property from time to time with the proper coverage.

Anyone had any luck with AirBnb out of their primary residence occasionally and insurance providers who cover it?
