Some Updates On Texas real Estate From Recon.

IKEA assembling first South Texas Store In San Antonio

Weitzman will develop Live Oak Town Center, an 830,000-sf retail center anchored by South Texas' first IKEA.

The project at the southwest corner of I-35 and Loop 1604 will include the 300,000-sf IKEA and 530,000 sf of other retail space.

Work will begin in spring 2018 and finish in spring 2019.

Walton Group Acquires 1445 Acres South Of Houston Near Alvin In Brazoria County

The Walton Group of Companies acquired a 1,445-acre tract located off SH 288 fronting FM 1462, about 25 miles south of Houston.

The property offers proximity to transportation corridors (SH 288 and the future expansion of the Grand Parkway).

The future extension of Grand Parkway will run adjacent to the property.

The company said the site will be the location of a new master-planned community with homes, schools, neighborhood commercial and open spaces.

The proposed concept plan will have more than 2,500 single-family lots. In addition, it will plan for commercial and retail uses along FM 1462, with recreation and open space for the master-planned community.

Houston is the second largest new-home market in the nation.

Facebook Adding to Alliance Texas Campus

FORT WORTH () – Facebook is adding two data halls to its $1 billion data center campus in the AllianceTexas development.DPR Construction, which is behind the $1 billion campus, filed two building permits, one for $182.6 million and one for $181.9 million.
