At what point do you buy a forever home

Hello all, I have househacked two duplexes to this point and am looking to make my next move in early 2018. At this point in my life I have a wife and two small children and really wrestle with whether to try and do one more duplex or find a primary residence that provides more comforts to the family. Right now the 3 rentals cover PITI for both properties and I anticipate being able to rent my current unit for about $1,500/month. Any input is greatly appreciated.
