Is anyone going to the Los Angeles Tax Defaulted Property Sale?

I'm trying to get into tax defaulted property investing. I would love to shadow someone who is going to the auction this year. I know LA is a tough market for this and any area of real estate but any help, tips, would be greatly appreciated. For example does anyone know if a beginner investor has a chance of winning a bid? Would I be able to find a property and much less than market valued?
