Noob questions in NY
Good afternoon all.
I'm attempting to get going flipping because I'm not very imaginative. I've found a foreclosure that needs a lot of work from mold to rotting holes in the subfloor to a half finished roof thrown on by the bank. It's hell but I may be able to get it for 35,000.
I've been reading and listening for months so it's time to get going. Right off the bat even getting an ARV estimate from the agent is proving to be an issue. Then none of contractors I've called are ever available to meet so that I can estimate a rehab cost. I've applied 15% ARV as a default cost of doing business but that's a guess right now.
Is it normal for people to be this difficult?
Anyone in the Kingston,ny area available to chat and bounce ideas around?
