It looks like this is a big one. Any BP friends in Texas affected? I am always concerned about earthquakes in CA. What do you guys do to prepare for those emergencies? Is earthquake insurance a good idea?

Many properties did not have flood insurance because like previously said, they are way outside of the 100 and 500-year floodplain. This has been a never imagined rain event.

So far we know one of our rental properties flooded and we have 3-4 more that will most likely flood this afternoon when they open additional dams to let water levels go down in the reservoirs. We are concentrating on the well being of our tenants not the properties. It's easy to fix a flooded house but life can't be replaced.
