This is an audio program from American Public Media's "The Story."

Steve Walsh, a successful mortgage broker who has earned as much as $1,000,000 a year is walking away from his mortgages. He was actually conservative, putting at least 20% down on his home and homes for his relatives. He earns enough to cover the mortgages. but is still choosing default. Now he is advising some of his clients to walk away, too.
