THE way to find good contractors IMO

I've hired guys various different ways over the years, from gosmith to craigslist.

Here is what I've learned:

Only solicit help from companies with good reviews via Yelp, etc. Check their reviews from several sites if available.

Get three bids from these good companies, this is where you can go with price since they are all of good reputation.

That's it. I've yet to go wrong with guys who have good reviews from 50+ customers on Yelp. They actually had very competitive rates too.

I can't tell you how many times I hired a loser off CL and ended up paying for it in re-work or frustration when they didn't show up, showed up drunk, didn't know what they were doing, etc.

You think you are saving money, but you're just spending more in the long run.
