Making Great Connections Through BiggerPockets
I've got to say BiggerPockets has definitely helped me improve my real estate business by connecting me with other investors. Yesterday I got to sit down with the legendary 3-time-podcaster @Ben Leybovich to learn from his experience and enjoy some good ol' fashion BBQ at Joe's Real BBQ in down town Gilbert, Arizona.
He shared with me about his house hack that he is doing in Chandler, Arizona with his primary residence and gave me some great advice on how to use AirBNB to help me pay my mortgage by renting out my guest house for my newly acquired home in Burbank, California.
Not only did he give me some good advice about house hacking but he he wrote a book about it that comes out on the Kindle version on the 27th of this month. The name of the book is House Hacking: The Only Real Estate Investing Strategy You Need to Build Wealth, Live for Free (or almost free), and Make Money Through Homeownership. I definitely want to put a plug-in for that book for anyone interested in house hacking.
Over the last several months I have probably met and had lunch with over 30 real estate investors that I have met through BiggerPockets and I have learned a ton from them and have been able to share things that I have learned by investing in real estate. BiggerPockets has truly created a great form by which less experienced investors can learn from more experienced investors. So I'm grateful for that.
I know this is been asked before in one way or another, but I wanted to give people an opportunity to show appreciation publicly to someone you have met though BiggerPockets who has been a benefit to you or your business in someway.
