Hello once again BP Nation. I want to take a moment to thank you all for your visiting my most recent post (What is your FREEDOM number (#)?) man did you guys show up in true BP Nation form! Thanks again for that. Now that I have that out of the way, I wanted to get everyone's take on what it takes to become a good Blogger? Smart people usually ask and learn and then based off of this they make an informed decision as to follow through or not on all of the aforementioned. However, I am not smart and decided recently to start up a blog on my 1st Flip without going through this consultation first typical me! LOL. Anyway, if any of you bloggers would care to help a newbie out I would seriously appreciate that. Even if you are not a blogger hit me up if you have some advice cause after all I intend to take what you give me and implement it into my Blog. Thanks as always BP you guys are absolutely AWESOME! Here is to wishing you all a successful 2017 in your REI ventures!

@Tony Wooldridge, @Lauren C. We do not allow you to post links to your own personal websites or blogs in the regular forums. However, we have an official BiggerPockets blog that is always looking for bloggers to write original content for us.

We also have a space for any member to write on their own blog about anything pertaining to real estate or finance. You can  create a member blog here .

Regarding being a successful blogger, @Sam Dogen  and @Shawn Ackerman hit the nail on the head. Quality content that you publish consistently. I'll add that you should write in your own voice, using words you use in your everyday speech. Trying to write like someone else will sound weird.

Tagging onto what Lauren said about getting an Instagram account, you should register your name on ALL the main social media sites - even if you don't plan to use it. You don't want someone else taking your name and publishing content you don't approve of.
