Etiquette - Sellers Are Friends

I'm about to begin negotiations this afternoon, on a four plex, my first purchase!   But, looking at the county records last night, I saw that the sellers are friends of mine, I dated their son years ago.  How would you feel about buying from friends?  Would it be bad etiquette to give them a call?
