deducting interest on a personal line of credit 4 construction?

Hello,

Anybody know if you can deduct the interest on a loan if it's used to build an ADU/back yard rental cottage?

Trying to finance tax-smart. (We don't have enough equity in the main house to use a HELOC yet)

Thanks for any advice!
