I Need an Education in Real Estate!!!!

I decided to become a Real Estate Invester after a chain of unfortunate events. One of those was that I got a promotion to a supervisor. Needless to say I realy dislike my job. I want to be my own man and live by my own standards. my problem is that I do not have the education or direction. where do I begin to obtain the education that I need to start my career as an invester? What steps can I begin to take to purchase my first property? Any advise on how to begin to educate my self?
