how do you find out if all cash was paid on a property ?

i am looking to invest in a property and i wanted to know if there is a way to see a disclosure report for example from the county or state. i can get an idea if i see no mortgage recorded, but what about the actual transfer history. i think the money that was used to purchase the house was buy the house was wired from overseas, so besides the bank what are the other ways i can tell.
