Buying Mortgages
Is it possible for a person to privately buy mortgages similar to how Fannie Mae or other mortgage companies do? If so, how do you do it?

What is your goal? Interest income by holding the notes? Buying non-performing notes and working those into performing notes? Obtaining the properties? If you are strictly interested in getting interest income you can originate the loans yourself. You must know your state laws and make sure you are in compliance. I started doing private lending four years ago and the returns have been great. My only regret is not starting sooner. If you have specific questions feel free to PM me.
