Contractor seems to have backed out at last minute!
BP Community - I need some help!
I had an agreement with a general contractor for a property that I'm closing on tomorrow. All seems great. He was extremely responsive and knowledgeable and is currently working on a few projects very close by to my property. He worked with an architect to get renderings drawn up, permits submitted & approved. Now that we're closing (tomorrow!), I've been trying to get a hold of him for that past couple days to make sure we're aligned on getting the demo team ready to go and provide initial funding. He is M.I.A. - not responding.
I do NOT have a backup at the moment, and am very worried about prospects for getting this project going. Please provide any advice that you have or contractor referrals.
Thanks!!

Do you already have a signed contract with this contractor? Hopefully you didn't pay any advances. I agree with the others and start looking for other contractors. Would suggest using AIA A105 Standard Form of Agreement Between Owner and Contractor as a template for your contract.
