Starting a real estate investment company?
Hi BP community -
I have been investing in real estate out of state for the past 10 years, mostly single family but starting to getting into small multi-families to hold and rent. I've had pretty good success to date and have a trusted team in market to help me out, I also visit a few times a year to check in on my properties and look at new ones.
Recently I've been having a number of people ask about investing with me or through me. My question is, what are some of the options for setting up a business around this opportunity where I could connect folks in my metro area with deals in my primary investing market. I was thinking a real estate investment fund where they'd invest in fund and I could buy properties where there might be a management fee or something similar but I'm not really sure about what the options that might exist when you have outside investors.
Keep in mind that most people would probably looking at investments of $50-$100K
Trying to figure out how to capitalize on my expertise and also help get others into real estate.
Thanks for your help!
