Mixing investments

I've read and learned so many things about investing in RE here at BP.  Thanks to all who have provided really great advice and direction.

This question is for those who invest in different ways and if so, are those investments held under the same entity.

For example, its been recommended that rental properties or BRRRs be held in an LLC or in the owners name (with a very large umbrella policy). Fix and Flips are recommended to be held in an S-Corp. What do you do if doing both? Do you have an S-Corp and an LLC?

What if you're investing in rental properties and want to also invest passively via notes or private lending? Are both activities done through the LLC? Or do you set up separate LLCs for each activity?

Thanks for the thoughts.
