How much for earnest money?
Have your seller ever ask for $1000 earnest money instead of $10 ???
What did you do ?

$1000 has been fairly standard for me in Chicago. For larger deals, especially commercial, up to 3% may be expected. Not sure where $10 EM is normal, but I might try to get contracts on 25 properties at a time if it only took $10 to lock it up.
