MLS economic data?

Can anyone tell me if the MLS tracks any sort of economic data? I would like to look at supply and demand data in my local area to get a better understanding of prices. Also if anyone knows of any alternative websites/databases, I would greatly appreciate it! If not I guess I can attempt my own research and post it on here!

CoreLogic has a mobile app which shares trends down to the zip code. It's only percentage changes but allows you to see a lot of local metrics. It's called CoreLogic Insights.
