Attorney and Title Help

I am just starting out and have yet to purchase any property, but I'm wondering how proactive I should be with my real estate attorney and title company. Does anyone recommend that I speak with an attorney before I start putting in offers? And perhaps ask this attorney for recommendations on title companies in the area? Or is all of this something I should put off until I'm in the process of purchasing my property?
