Thoughts on International Investors?

Hello Everyone,

I heard someone mention that when she worked at a mortgage company, she noticed a lot of international investors from Australia, Canada, China - to name some of the countries - who invested here in the states. 

Can anyone speak truth to that? What have your experiences been if so?
