Apparently the term "we buy houses" has a trademark registered to it.  An outfit out of Texas is going around notifying real estate investors that they cannot use this term in any of their marketing or their domain names.  If you don't believe me, just search the phrase "we buy houses trademark" in Google and see what is happening.  

So now we are fighting back.  Sign the petition and get this trademark canceled once and for all.  Hundreds of investors have already joined in the petition within a very short period of time.  Let's put an end to this.

These folks claim to have trademarked "We Buy Houses" in Canada as well - which would be out of step with past attempts to trademark common expressions in this country.

A search of the Canadian Trade-mark database shows a registration of "We Buy Ugly Houses" with the Claim it is used in the U.S.A.

There is also an abandoned application for "We Buy Ugly Houses" with proposed use in Canada.

There are no accepted registrations for "We Buy Houses" in Canada.
