Getting the word out there...

Hello,

So I have been telling my friends, acquaintances and people in general what I do (real estate investor) to get the word out there to get deals going. The funny thing is everyone tries to warn me about real estate (there are lots of risk with landlording, foreclosures, etc.) and they all complain about their jobs. I noticed there are lots of "nay" sayers out there. The challenge is not to allow their negative opinions get on the way of my goals and vision.

I just wanted to put my thoughts out here...

What are your experiences when starting out with real estate investing?
