Generating Capital: Servicing Investing Leads w/ Realty Business

Beginning in July, I will be transitioning to Real Estate Sales full-time. I'm also partnering with a couple colleagues in Tampa to begin an Investing business.

I figured many leads generated for the Investing business will likely be Retail sellers. I proposed to my investing partners that one of them should get a RE Salesperson license, sign up with my brokerage on a referral basis, and then I can pay the Investing business a referral fee for any closed listing business from the Investing leads. This is a way to generate capital for the Investing business - or in other words, not leave money on the table. It also makes me feel good because we'll be able to give options to the sellers and potentially help them out in a couple different ways.

Does anyone have experience with this type of setup? Pros/cons/things to look out for?
