My friend recently came to me with the idea of starting a hostel in my home town. Has anyone on here thought about doing that? Anyone actually go through with it? I'd love to hear your story.

Haven't thought about it, but the idea sounds good and similar to using Air BnB to rent out units.  I'd imagine it could work given the right circumstances.
