Real-estate related job

Hi everyone!

I'm about to graduate college and I'm looking to get into real-estate. My hope is to earn some money in a real-estate related field so I can start flipping and eventually buying and holding. That obviously means I would need extra money left over to save up for purchasing property and the rehab costs. I'm thinking between a $40-50,000 salary a year, optimistically. Knoxville's cost of living is not very high.

I'm about to start studying for my RE agent license. I know it's possible to work for corporations/government agencies/insurance companies with this license. Any ideas or advice about this avenue? I would prefer work that does not require as overtly social of a lifestyle as being an agent does, otherwise I would pursue that further.

Another thought I had was to also become a licensed home-inspector and try to find work that way. I'm not sure what the job market is like, but any information would be very helpful.

Any other information about possible jobs in real-estate would be great! I'm in a position where my parents will help me with education, so the biggest bang for my buck is my goal right now.

Thank you,

Miriam
