Goooooooooood Evening BiggerPockets!

Exciting news to share with everyone from last weeks Chicago ACTION Investors meetup and updates on ongoing projects.  Once again we had SEVERAL new faces show up.  We went from on the forums thinking this stuff was neat to investing in properties on the street! @Robin Pritts @Ted Meltzer @Gerardo Dominguez @Kaleb Packer @Marlin Allen @Walter Jones @Sharie Jackson

The group started off at 10718 South Vernon, a nice 3 unit with 2 beds in each! Discussions around house hacking and multi-family properties on the south side of the city were had since this property was opportunity for a FHA buyer.

Normally people have a misunderstanding for the south side of Chicago, clouded by myths and stereotypes they forget that no matter where you go there is going to be negativity and bad pockets in neighborhoods.  To close yourself off from this part of town is like SAYING NO TO OPPORTUNITY.  Nobody got anywhere in life saying no to opportunity so open YOUR eyes and see the money floating in front of you - just be aware of your surroundings!

We've got several action takers (@Patrick Howe and Val Howe) taking very aggressive action with multiple offers on properties with the help of @Sean Jones as the broker for the deals.  They placed bids on the 3 unit at 10718 S Vernon and a 2 unit at 107 W 73rd St and are awaiting responses.

The active project with @Dhru Das and @Account Closed has made significant progress in the past few weeks!

This property was BURNT TO THE CORE when we first went in, you might be able to catch a glimpse of what it looked like in one of our earlier posts!  I'll be sure to update the progress as it continues.
