Getting insurance on a flip property while renovating? Help!

In escrow on my first flip.  I need to get insurance on the place as a condition of the loan funding.  I called my regular insurance company, and they can't seem to wrap their heads around the concept of fixing and flipping -- they don't think they can insure the place because it doesn't sound like the house is in very good condition.  Duh!  Is there a go-to insurance company here in SoCal that does this regularly?
