Online Subscriptions for Searching Properties...Worth it?

Thoughts on subscriptions to online property search tools? E.g. ReatyTrac.com, Realtor.com etc.

Is it worth the monthly subscription to search properties on those sites? If yes, do you recommend others? Or do you feel other methods of finding properties to be more lucrative? 

While we are just getting started, I don't want to get caught up in paying money for multiple subscriptions when my time and money would be better spent in other areas. 

Open to any and all thoughts/recommendations.
