REI for the greater good
Hey all,
I am currently in the beginning stages of starting a flip/buy and hold career that I am planning to at some point allow me to quit my 9-5 so I can pursue REI full time. I've always been in the mindset that I want to find a way to give back to the less fortunate when able, and have been trying to think of ways that I could use REI in the future to do that.
I have seen some people on here lightly discuss it, but have not seen anything too in depth. I was curious as to any ideas everyone had or something that you may have already done that did or didn't work out very well. The only major things that I have been able to think of are providing living spaces for people in lower income situations (Section 8(ish)) or maybe a battered women's shelter (not sure if that is the PC name for that), or potentially a halfway house.
Looking forward to your responses and ideas. I know there has to be a way to use REI to help out others beyond just myself!
