Hi I am a newbie to posting....I have learned much through this site and find it to be one of the most valuable tools out there. I am currently D4D and my question is when you do find that deal do you hire a realtor to do the paperwork? Thanks in advance to what might be a silly question.

Hey Linda,

Let me preface this post by saying that I know nothing about the laws or market where you live.

I however would never hire a realtor to put in an offer on a property unless another realtor made me i.e. the sellers realtor.  If you are driving for dollars you will be looking for off market properties that aren't currently represented so I would say leave the realtors out of it!

They are going to take money out of the deal that you could be making, and the paperwork is very minimal.  The contract that we use is only three pages!  Just plug in the variables and you're good! Some people will want the purchase agreement changed but this rarely happens, and you can change it yourself.

If you have to hire a realtor to appease the other side than do it.  If you're a wholesaler you don't even have to pay them!

Hope that answered your question.
