Area analysis information tool needed

Hi All

Does anyone know a good or a series of combined sources in which it provides the historical record of an area, such as population, economy, occupation and etc? I personally searched many sites and most of them only give the data for 2 years at most. I am looking for sources that provide a longer historical record. Thank you in advance!

 Yes! I know of a data tool that combines data from the census, bureau of labor statistics, many government entities, private data, S&P, and all kinds of other stuff.. and it's free!!! And you can use it to graph any of the data!

The leading index tends to be a good predictor of future employment changes!

Keep a close eye on jobs out in New York!

The Federal Reserve (of Philly) maintain most of the demographic and economic data that you could think of, census data, etc. And some real estate data. (Case Shiller for major cities and major city and MSA RE home price indeces). But not a good Housing affordability index:

You can even make a dashboard on the site with whatever you want to track, and the data will update automatically when the new data is released by the respective source!
