Can anyone recommend a good carpenter in Raleigh, North Carolina
I cannot figure out how to solve a problem with the front door on one of my rental units. There is a large gap underneath the door. However, the door is ALSO not on exactly level, and the floor is not exactly level. When I put a sweep beneath the door it scrapes the floor in certain areas but there is still a gap in other areas. I tried shimming the door as well. More problems
I just want to pay a pro to fix this and be done with it. Anyone have good experiences with a certain person in the past?

Keith,
Have you tried using an adjustable door sweep?
If the door was installed out of plumb shimming will only make the door bind at the top or bottom. You may be able to add to the bottom of the door with solid wood then cover up the splice with a door sweep.
