Sink hole insurance claim without a sink hole

I spoke with a seller wanting to sell a block home.  He mentioned that he got money from the insurance company for a sink hole that was never there.  The attorney   kept at the insurance company until they paid even though the insurance company spent 20k in tests and drilling to prove there was no sink hole.  (This was common in FL for a few years)  My question is what trouble may I have with future insurance because there was once a claim saying sink hole even though there was never one?  I haven't had a chance to call my insurance lady so I figured I'd reach out to BP
