Wholesaling and acquiring funds

Ive had a few deals under contract, but i would like to get feedback on what I may be doing wrong that I have not been able to close any of the potential deals, also i would like to get information from seasoned investors on how to go about acquiring funds to help get started investing as well. I have come across a few blogs saying ordinary individuals such as myself were able to get funds to help them get started in their investing career.
