REI in the Military.

My name is Mike. I am currently serving Active Duty in the Navy. I have been in 5 years so far. I already did my time at sea and will be on land for at least 2 more years unless something big happens. Real estate is pretty cheap where I am at and would like to invest in real estate for the long term. My only concern is how hard will be to continue managing the properties from hundreds of miles away. Any advice on this or how I could invest in real estate while serving on active duty would be greatly appreciated.
