Commercial Investing:

Hi all,

I'm new to the forum and a complete novice when it comes to real-estate. Perhaps my questions are going to be amateur and annoying because they are presented everyday, but any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I'm currently 25 and living in an apartment. I make a great salary, at least I would call it great for being 25 and I'm very conservative. At this point I have 20K in an IRA account, 40K in Mutual funds, and 100K in a money market account.

Commercial Real-estate has been an idea I've contemplated for the last few weeks. I understand I would need to leverage my mutual funds, because I don't own a home, so no equity.

Could someone enlighten me one how I should get started in the (Cocoa Beach,Florida) commercial industry? Perhaps the more appropriate question is can I afford to invest into a commercial property? The avg. commercial property is 600K and up.

Any ideas for alternative investment strategies, if commercial property is not the way to go?

Thanks

Annie
