Insurance Claim Time Table

Recently I had one of my rental homes broke into and there has been some vandalism and damage.  I contacted my insurance company and provided them pictures and the police report info.  The insurance agent told me that the next step is an adjustor will contact my property management company and get out there to asses and take the next step.

My management company has had a lot of interest as its a very nice home.

My main questions is, for anyone who has had this happen to them, what was the time frame on average it took for you to receive an actual check from your insurance company to get the repairs completed from the time you contacted them?

Just trying to get an idea.

Thanks

@Curt Davis depends on the company, I found this the hard way, I had one company that took 6 weeks to cut a check we switched to another company and paid more of a premium. The next claim, I was meet the same day with a check to start in hand. I will gladly pay a little more for that service. To me too much "name your price insurance" really means name how bad you will regret this when you need it. Just my .02
