Hello BP,

I was driving down a neighborhood yesterday, and I saw people rehabbing a house.  I wanted to ask them about their business but I didn't know how to approach. And I didn't want to be look like a creeper... Some of the guests on podcast recommend doing this method to establish network with different contractors. Have you guys had any experience with approaching random contractors and asking for their business? I would love to hear about that.

I don't mind when people come up and say hi and ask for a card. Just don't stand around and talk my ear off about your current project or what you want to do unless you want to just say its an addition, or its a deck, or its a flip..... thats for when I come meet you, right now I'm focusing on cutting this board haha. Walk up to one of the guys on the crew and ask "who is in charge? I may have some work for you guys". That should get you in and out fast. If its a house being build or renovated, or any large project, try to catch someone coming in and out from the outside. It does make me nervous when people walk through a job site.... there are a lot of hazards on a site.
