Help with house , just bought.

Hello, I need some advice and TIA.

Bought a house and got ah stop working order without doing any work, went to the city previous owners did work with no permits city told them and they did it anyway and sold the house even tho being notified. Lied in the seller disclosure as well.

The guy is a realtor , broker and has a couple business.

@Joshua Mazzotti Soto, first I would determine what you think the effect is on you moving forward. Can you associate a cost with this undisclosed issue?

I would start by going right to this guy and ask for him to pay what I can justify for the cost of this issue to me.

If he refuses and especially if he was an agent on this deal, I would report him to the local board of realtors and possibly also to the state's real estate commission. Dishonesty that you can prove could result in fines from both places or even a license suspension. That is also leverage in getting him to pay.

If this isn't a huge issue, I would take him to small claims court. It sounds like he has assets that you could go after if he doesn't pay any judgement you win.
