First Foreclosure Purchase- Cleanup Costs

Travis Lee
Posted

Hey guys I recently purchased my first investment property at a foreclosure auction. To say the property is disgusting would be an understatement.  The home is structurally sound and approximately 800 square feet 2 Bed/ 1 Bath. The home has linoleum through out the house. The home will have to be treated for bugs and deodorized. The flooring throughout the house, appliances, and cabinets will have to be removed. The air ducts also need to be cleaned out.

My question for those of you who have had a nasty cleanup situation before either from a purchase or tenant that left the property is how much would typically be charged for the services mentioned above?

Thanks in advance!
