LLC State Filing

Starting to do some land flipping across the U.S. I plan to buy properties in various states and reside in New York. Any advice on where to set up my LLC? Generally what I have read says set up Wyoming LLC then individual state LLCs under the Wyoming LLC for each state I invest in (to keep anonymity). Is that right? Any other advice folks have?
