Canadian Investing vs Long Distance U.S. Investing

Hi Canadians! I was just wondering how many Canadians investors invest in their own country compared to how many invest long distance in the U.S? I know some Canadian investors like to stay country-side and invest only in Canadian cities as a matter of supporting their own country. On the other hand, I know a lot of investors who look to the U.S. as you can find cheaper properties with greater profits. It seems like Canada has plenty of foreign investors but not many local investors.
