real estate or home inspector license?

Cassie Cole
Posted

Hi All :)

I am very new to real estate investing.  I am working on improving my credit score and saving money in order to have a down payment and/or qualify for a hard money loan to start the brrrr process.  I am looking into training to get either my real estate license or home inspector license in NYS.  My goal is to supplement my income as I work to become financially free and eventually quit my W2 job.  Does anyone have any thoughts on which license is better for an investor both as an asset to helping you grow your own portfolio as well as a side job to make some extra money?

Thank you in advance!

Cassie
