need knowledge about A Frame

Hi everyone,

I am planning to buy a investment property in California but I want to know what is A frame house means? I am 1st time investor.

Brad posted a good picture of an "A" example.  The other picture is, a small ranch house with a gable style roof. Someone is mixing up, "A frame" and "gable" I think.  Most would say  "... 1800s/f house with a gable roof."  Good luck!
