Green Property Investing

Hi all! I am relatively new to real estate investing, in negotiations on my 3rd deal now. One of the goals I have set for my business is to invest in making my properties “green,” such as solar panels, etc.

Has anyone else started investing in green properties, or thought about it? How so? Any suggestions for getting started moving that direction?

My vision is to have one of the greenest property investment businesses in the industry one day, seems as no one else is going to do it and this would be a great way for me to make an impact.

You’re are going to make less money doing that. Instead you could just take that additional profit and invest in feel good projects.

Ps. If you ant to know how I know you’ll be making less? Because if you made more by doing it everyone would be doing it. And I mean in a generic sense, not a going green sense. People install led bulbs because they’re a good investment, they don’t replace windows for energy reasons. They tried this with stock investing. Turned out the “green” stock investing performed much worse than regular investing. So investors bit the bullet and did regular investing and spent the extra profits however they wanted.
